We are the Rhythms of Resistance Band from Oldenburg, Northern Germany. We are part of a transnational network of percussion bands called Rhythms of Resistance (RoR). We use Samba and other rhythms to fight on the streets for a better world.

With our music we support progressive manifestations, direct actions, blockades, rallies and street parties. We exist since quite some years as a self-organized group of 10-15 people. We meet on a weekly-ish base in Oldenburg’s autonomous centre “Alhambra”. New people are always warmly welcomed! Even if you never played an instrument before! Seriously!

If you have more questions, feel free to watch the below video where you can see us playing and explaining what we do as a band and as the RoR network.

Check out the documentary for the 40th anniversary of the Alhambra where you can see us playing and explaining the band and the RoR network!
